A consultation helps me get to know you and your space. It’s the first step in a custom landscape design, or it might be all you need to make some great changes in your garden.

We’ll start with you giving me a quick tour of your space and talking about your goals. Would you like a vegetable garden or more edible plants? A lower maintenance lawn? A wildlife habitat for birds and butterflies? A yard that can handle your new rescue pup?
Then, it’s up to you! The more prepared you are with questions and ideas you’d like to talk through, the more you’ll get from our time together! This is not a sales call, and I don’t hold anything back.
Ask me questions about your existing plants or garden layout! I’ll do my very best to answer or help you find some answers.
Have a tricky spot in your yard where water pools or nothing seems to grow? We can brainstorm ideas for how to make it more functional and beautiful.
At some point I will probably get my hands in your soil to see what you’re working with.
After our consult, I’ll send an email with notes and links to anything we discussed! You’ll leave with a list of impactful changes you could make right away and ideas for the long-term health and enjoyment of your garden.

Amazing! Every landscape design starts with a consultation. If we decide to move forward with a full design project, your consultation fee will be deducted from your final design cost.

I work with gardeners in Northern and Central Appalachia. (Here’s a map!)
If you’re within 50 miles of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, we can meet in-person on your site!
If you’re outside of that range, our consultation will be virtual. I’ll just collect some information from you to familiarize myself with your yard ahead of our scheduled time!
